Day 04 at St. Johns

As days passes the connection between students and me gets more and more deeper and communications seemed easy. Today i discussed the portion 'procedure of passing a money bill and state legislature. I already prepared a systematic lesson plan and collected contemporary incidents and happenings about the topic. I could complete the topic timely and thus the revision of the topic could be done. Interactive mode of teaching was employed in the class and also i could realize my class management has been better. 
Today after the class i got to identify certain requirements for making my class better like working on making class more interactive and interesting.
For the day 2 extra duties were assigned which is kitchen duty and noon meal serving duty. 
At night i prepared for the next class.

Week 8 Reflection: February 3, 2025 - February 4, 2025 February 3, 2025: Achievement Test Chapters Covered: Through the Sandy Expanse, Towards a Gender-Neutral Society, Along the Coast On February 3rd, I conducted the Achievement Test for the students of 8D and 9D, covering the chapters Through the Sandy Expanse, Towards a Gender-Neutral Society, and Along the Coast. The test had 25-mark questions and lasted 40 minutes. This test was aimed at assessing the students' understanding of the key concepts, such as the geography of deserts, the importance of gender neutrality, and the characteristics of coastal regions. The students approached the test with seriousness and dedication. While most students demonstrated a good grasp of the material, I noticed that some needed more clarity on specific concepts, such as the gender roles and gender stereotypes discussed in the Towards a Gender-Neutral Society chapter. BEd journey St. Johns week 4 (24.09.24- 27.09.24) September 28, 2024 St. John's Week 4 Reflection (September 24, 2024 - September 27, 2024)    Monuments and Sources of Information   This week, we began by exploring Megalithic Monuments. I introduced the students to the concept of megaliths, explaining how large stone structures were used by ancient civilizations, particularly in the Indian subcontinent, as burial sites and markers for important events. We discussed various types of megalithic monuments, such as dolmens, menhirs, and cairns, and where they have been found. I also emphasized the importance of these monuments as a valuable source of information about ancient cultures. To make the lesson more interactive, I used images of megalithic sites in India and encouraged students to identify the structures. Day 3 at sr johns

Day 03 at St. Johns August 07, 2024  On the 3rd day, periods assigned to me was both 3rd and 6th hour in 8A1 class. As examination is scheduled for next month i was supposed to take portions quickly. Today i could complete very important portion of the chapter 'Our government' which is the various stages of passing a bill in the parliament. I could provide students with better reinforcement. The teaching techniques like repetition of facts, prompting questions was used effectively. I felt that my efficiency in time management has been better than the past 2 days. I reflected my teaching limitations and found out that i can use both negative and positive reinforcement appropriately, Also the need to add more activities in the classroom. Today i did the morning line duty from 8.45am to 9.15am. Then i assisted in the kitchen chores like peeling potatoes and onions.
