INNOVATIVE WORK (3D Model of the Council of Ministers)

As part of my teaching practice, I had the opportunity to present an innovative model to the students of 8A1 at St. Mary’s HSS, Pattom, based on the chapter 'Our Government'. The specific topic I focused on was the Council of Ministers, which is an essential part of the executive branch of our government. To make the topic more engaging and easier for the students to understand, I decided to create a 3D model of the Council of Ministers.


The main objective behind this model was to make the structure and functioning of the Council of Ministers more tangible for students. By using a 3D model, I aimed to make the complex political structure more visually appealing and easier to comprehend. The model helped the students understand the various positions within the council, such as:
- Prime Minister
- Cabinet Ministers
- Ministers of State
- Deputy Ministers

Each figure in the model represented one of these positions, and I used color coding and labels to show their roles and functions within the government.

BEd journey St. Johns week 4 (24.09.24- 27.09.24) September 28, 2024 St. John's Week 4 Reflection (September 24, 2024 - September 27, 2024)    Monuments and Sources of Information   This week, we began by exploring Megalithic Monuments. I introduced the students to the concept of megaliths, explaining how large stone structures were used by ancient civilizations, particularly in the Indian subcontinent, as burial sites and markers for important events. We discussed various types of megalithic monuments, such as dolmens, menhirs, and cairns, and where they have been found. I also emphasized the importance of these monuments as a valuable source of information about ancient cultures. Day 3 at sr johns

Day 03 at St. Johns August 07, 2024  On the 3rd day, periods assigned to me was both 3rd and 6th hour in 8A1 class. As examination is scheduled for next month i was supposed to take portions quickly. Today i could complete very important portion of the chapter 'Our government' which is the various stages of passing a bill in the parliament. I could provide students with better reinforcement. The teaching techniques like repetition of facts, prompting questions was used effectively. I felt that my efficiency in time management has been better than the past 2 days. I reflected my teaching limitations and found out that i can use both negative and positive reinforcement appropriately, Also the need to add more activities in the classroom. Today i did the morning line duty from 8.45am to 9.15am. Then i assisted in the kitchen chores like peeling potatoes and onions.
